No, I am not referring to you. After all you could be bigger than me. :-)
Look for the metal part of the dip stick down in the tube. When the plastic handle melts, it lets the metal flat part slide down towards the transmission. This is probably not something you want floating around in there should it some make its way completely into the transmission.
