Knock Sensor Importance?.... Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] (#829) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JustinHiFi) on Sun, 22 Oct 2000 00:07:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
sometimes my '91 900 S's Check engine light will flash 4 times in the morning warming up when you give it excessive gas. I have been told that this indicates a problem with my knock sensor. I have located and checked the connection of the sensor and am in the process of obtaining a new one. My main question is, What does it do for the 2.1 liter engine. On my late '83 900T w/ APC, I know it used this for the APC functioning and operation. Since my 2.1 liter is N/A what management system uses this, and for what purpose?
Thanks,
Justin D.
