Nope... the SaabGuard alarm was a dealer-installed option. It works very simple - 10 or 20 seconds after the courtesy light goes out, the alarm is armed. It goes off if a door is opened and the ignition isn't switched to on in 10 to 20 seconds. The '87s had a few options that earlier ones did not, like remote arm/disarm, shock sensor, and a motion sensor among others. The "base" system will have three or four 3-pin connectors which aren't used, but would presumably plug into devices for the options. I've never seen a fully optioned one, so I can only guess... :)
