Loading 25% too much engine oil - how damaging can that be??

I am back; previously today I asked what could cause the fuel-distributor to only supply fuel for three injectors (- and thanks to you gusy who responded with useful information), but it appears to me now, the problem could be more severe and caused by a stupid mistake while filing new oil on after draining the worn oil off.
SIMPLY PUT: What happens to an 8-valve SAAB engine (B2012i), when while changing oil and filter one inadvertently ads - say one quart (appr. 09 litre) - too much new oil and let the engine run idle for 15 minutes, while wondering what made that thing operate so weird following all that fresh oil….!!??
This is what I did, and now after draining off some 1 litre to have the stick show just below the ”max” line, the engine does not perform well, not even after 30 miles of mixed driving; it hesitates in responding to more throttle, and it shakes intermittently while in low RPM mode. And it appears to deprive one injector of its fuel, that is, too little fuel is led to injector 1, while the three others get plenty. It feels as less power when driving and trying to accelerate, and it introduces a moment of hesitation.
I am terrified I may have caused some internal engine damage, fx damage to pistons or valves, or to some other vital parts in there.
Could this in fact be the result from a basic mistake such as this?
Is there anything I can do to diagnose the engine-problem in more detail??
(I did check injectors today, but they appear just fine).
Any response will be greatly appreciated.
Mike
