Hmmm, what could this be? Posted by Jake [Email] (#225) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Jake) on Sat, 28 Oct 2000 11:12:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
88 900S, 210,000 miles.. When the car begins to move from a stop, if I turn the wheel to the left just as I am beginning to move the car, I can hear a loud metallic clunk coming from the front end of the car. It can also be felt a bit in the steering wheel. The car does not lurch or change speeds in time with noise, it accelerates just fine. The car is perfectly quiet over bumps in the road, even over speed bumps nice and slow there is no clunking. Only when I am turning the wheel to the left as I accelerate from a stop. I'm thinking maybe tie rod ends or ball joints? Any clue as to how else I can diagnose this?
TIA,
Jake
