I don;t agree with the 9000 being anymore expensive to maintain. Its basically the same car. With a different body. (oh man i am gonna get it for that one) My first car was 88 9000T which now has 350,000 miles i am still driving but will be parting it out eventually to put a few things into my new car. Suspension into a 91 and drivetrain into a 90. I also own an 87 spg which has been transformed into an 88+. Everything on the car is new unfortunaltely not all back togeher. As far as handling goes... i have intrax and koni on the 9000 and have driven in a 900 with koni and intrax as well. Sorry guys but the 9000 with the right tires is the winner here. It takes on ramps at 85 without moving its incredible. I personally bought the cra at 300,000 miles and other than routine maintenance and a few parts have not really anythign to the car. And let me tell you i beat on it! The tranny is origninal except for 5th gear and only minor engine work has been done. The car is absolutely incredible. As far as auto boxes go if you chagne the oil yearly no matter what and don't abuse them too much they will last you a while. The autos after 89 are much more reliable and much more performance oriented. I mean I llove my 900 its a great car but i thikn once a 9000 guy you will always be one. The interior is much more luxurious and you feel more as if you are at home. (in my opinion) What it comes down to is which car YOU like better, what the maintenance history was, and the cost. If yo have anymore questions please email me.
adam

p.s. I was thinking about the whole 900 and 9000 being the same car....well they are based on the same ideas 2.0 motor and so on, with many recycled parts from each other=)
