195 60 15 is the best choice for stock wheels. I would go with the yokohama avs intermeadiate. It is not overly expensive but will drastically improve the handeling. The tread wear no. is the place to look in order to see how hard the compound is. 300 is getting pretty hard 140 is very soft (perrelli p zero). the 140 on my car lasted 10k with 2 years of autocrossing, so they might have gone 20k without. The avs are a 160 tread wear not much better; however, they have a deeper tread than the ones I had. That along with proper rotation and no autocrossing they could last 30k. If you go with a 180-220 you will still receive decent handeling but get greater life. None of them will get more than 35k though. Talk to the poeple at the tire rack they are very helpfull as well a knowledgeable, there web site is good also.
