Big bars, hard bushing mounted, would not be my path for a convertable, since the chassis is not torsionally stiff.
I'd suggest koni shocks, front set soft, with rear rebound set a bit stiff, to help with turn in. Alignment and tires can be optimized.
If you need more, consider SAS springs with the rear spacers. These should not drop the heavy car excessively, will only increase rates about 20% per SAS, and will improve handling. Confirm my thought that SAS drop and rates are less than Intrax, if possible.
The spring approach maintains true independence in the suspension, and will not result in a huge increase in single whee joust rate, as the bars will.
