For me 6K comes way to quickly. Every C900 I've driven, 8V, 16V, N/A, or turbo, 6K is on you in a few heartbeats in 1st or 2cd. I've had 3 '85 turbo's (maybe it's the tach, or the speedo, but on three cars?), by my tach, the fuel shut off happens before 6K, which means that to get to 60 MPH I have to shift to third, talk about cutting down the 0 to 60 times.
O'k, what we have is a 16V, 4 cylinder engine. Light valve train, but with hydraulic lifters. Still like sounds like an easy 6500 to 7K to me. Typical underengineering.
