Ian-
Sorry to be the bad guy here, but I must tell you from LOTS of experience selling old Saabs (well, that's not true...I had to DONATE a couple to get rid of them), they are never worth what we put into them. I too have a car in the classifieds ('88 9000t) which is in good shape and has lots of life left. I am only asking $1100 for it, and have had no responses. Now since when is a good looking SAAB with perfect leather and transmission worth not even 1100? I don't know, but I must face the fact and accept it.
Whenever we buy an old vehicle, no matter what make, we are going to have to spend money on repairs, and those repairs are sunk costs. We will never get that money back. I'm not trying to bring you down and I am not trying to buy your car, just trying to keep you in touch. And I hope I don't sound like an ass, if I do, I am sorry. Anyway, good luck with it.
BigTim
