This is actually normal- think about how often you are going in reverse, not much right? So most of the wear on the pads is actually being done to the leading edge of the pad, as much as we would like to think that they wear evenly across the whole pad (check it out on a pair of worn-out pads, they will be thicker toward the rear) So when you go in reverse, and put the brakes on lightly, only that thick edge (which, in reverse, would now be the leading edge) touches lightly, and the thinner edge kinda trails off, not touching yet, and vibrates because it has nothing to hold it steady. When you put the brakes on more fully, or come to a stop, the sound stops.
