And as of yet I haven't found out how to MAKE IT SOFTER. The leather seats in my 900T are just fine. Their not as soft as say new Lexus seats would feel nor are they as thin either. They're not as soft as glove leather (think driving gloves)but, aren't as tough as say boot leather.
My 1988 9000T on the other hand though have leather seats that feel alot more like the PIGSKIN type of feeling that you describe. They feel really dry and hard. As if they've been sun dried or something. I have guessed that most of this damage is due to heat and sun.
Most here will probably agree that the headrest are probably the driest, toughest, pigskin felling, faded or whatever comes to mind part of their seats. I have yet to find a product that will give them either more softness or shine. I tried the same stuff you listed and did that twice a week for a month. They only got cleaner, not softer...
Leather conditioner my arse.......
