Richard
my recommendation in priority order.

1. Check timing chain tensioner - max extension is 11mm I think. If it is then your timing chain needs replacing , guides and sprockets as well. For the year and mileage unless oil changes have been skipped I would be surpised if it needed doing now.

2. Head gasket. get it check ed and replaced. Standard check son teh head. Consider the valve stem seals being replaeced at teh same time.

3. Aircon. You have lost gas because of a leak most probably the lowest connector/pipework into the condensor (radiator look alike) has been corroded (it is aluminium and steel...with a bit of salt). I had to have this changed in an '89 Carllson and this month in my '92 9000. You are likely to need a new condensor. Find an aircon specilaist rather tahn a SAAB dealer (Air con suystems are all fairly similar). Get the system tested with Nitrogen at 150psi which will find the leaks. Get the system vacuumed and dried out following repair and converted to R134a iaw with your state laws. SOme recommend chaning teh receiver/drier but I never have done. It could be the compresor/adjustment/seized/power supply.

4. Power steering rack. Check for clips hoses.

5. Motor mounts - check idc. Probably are OK at the moment.

6. Heater core. Thank your luck starts. Don't touch until ther eis a problem.

7. SRS. Sorry none of my cars have had air bags so I haven't paid attention to the numerous posts on the subject. Do a search.

Good luck

Gavin
