YATCSFU: Yet another TCS Follow-up Posted by Snaab [Email] (#3206) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snaab) on Fri, 22 Mar 2002 15:24:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
YATCSFU: The kid brother to SNAFU.
First of all, thank you to everyone who assisted me in my issues a week ago. The problem with my 1992 9KT turned out to be the safety valve ($210 including labor). The dealer found 4 codes.
What's interesting is that apparently the TCS had never worked properly on my car, because the yellow TCS had never come on. In fact, I thought my car was the rare exception that did not have TCS installed. I of course was wrong.
I had problems last year with what I thought was turbo lag that were never diagnosed. The indie I go to was never able to find the problem (no wonder, since they don't have ISAT). I have since come to believe was the TCS fouling up my driving experience. The reason I believe that is because this car SCREAMED on the way home like it never has (I bought it used).
I had to give my wife the Saab when our first child was born last July. I think I'm gonna take a second job to get her the minivan she wants so I can have my car back!
Although dealerships can be evil, I think I'll be taking my Saab in at least once a year for a full check up to benefit from the computer.
Again, thanks for the help everyone.
