If the sound is sort of a lighter metallic scraping you might be getting enough play in your rotor/hub assembly to be hitting the splash shield, especially if the shield has been bent up a bit. In any event, take a good look around the assembly and see if you have any rust, stones, etc that might come into play when the stress of cornering will deflect (even slightly) the components.
