Hi julz, I think it has a carburator, and here's a wild guess. If shadow sat for long enough, gas in float bowl evaporated. When gas evaporates it seems to leave deposits on those little things - like the orfices and jets. This reduces gas flow thru them. Shadow runs lean. Shadow runs while choke is on, as choke comes off shadow leans out and stalls! Sounds brilliant!! So you'd have to clean it out either by running some "Miracle......" through it - little fresh gas in tank W/"Miracle....."
in it, or the full tilt rebuild! I'd start w/the "Miracle....." and look for any improvement. Or just drive with the choke on all the time!!
Or the choke could be stuck closed and shadow stops from running rich, or the coil could be bad. Or, or, or,....... Good Luck!
