Last nite I removed the mounts (except for the engine one)..
Yikes! this car is the worst one I've ever worked on for inaccesibilty.. and I've had more than a few Jaguars ;-)
As pointed out the engine mounted one is an unbelievable pain.. it will stay there for now at least.
Cut up pieces of largish rubber hose and finally managed to neatly fill the voids in the mounts (one piece per void), forcing, hammering and cajoling the pieces in to place... insert rubber bits are of similar density, hopefully.
Motor is V smooth running, no flopping about and no more vibration than before with the faulty mounts... no chance to drive yet as it's still on stands.. and it's looking like it will be for some time yet .
