1993 CSE Turbo 93,000 miles

The frame is bent 1-1.5"
Driver's side front quarter panel is screwed
Repairable hood damage
Tiny crumple wave on roof (TINY)
Front bumper gone
Front passenger side wheel is wrecked...(maybe the rear too)
Some suspension damage

Indy mechanic's off the cuff estimate $1800 to do everything.
Insurance deductible is $1000

If I report this to insurance company, how can I keep my premiums down? Driver's safety courses? When is it worth declaring the car totalled? What happens if I do declare it totalled? They give me money to go out and buy something new?

Please help with whatever information you can.
