A few months ago, I had the tranny rebuilt (1993 cde turbo 5spd) and timing chain and gears replaced. After the work was completed, the tcs cntl light stayed on dimly after the start up diagnostics completed. However there wasn't any tcs driveability problems.

About a month after, the tcs driveability problems started. I drove the car for a couple of weeks in that bad state before I followed the good advice of jim Kane from this board.

I replaced the safety valve and the other little component beside it (attached with vacuum hose) and the tcs cntl light came off and the driveability problems went away. About a week later, the check engine light came off.

Now, once again, the tcs cntl light stays on dimly most of the time now. The car drives fine but that light is bugging me. Has anyone experienced this problem. Why would this light still be on and how can I get it to turn off?
