Hi,

I purchased an automatic 1991 9K CD Turbo about 2 years back with 113000 miles on it and it has been running pretty good with the exception of some small repairs. But over the past year the transmission has been getting progressively worse when I try to pass people on roads or give it more gas quickly. The tran works fine when slowly increasing speed, but when punching it around 45 MPH and also 65MPH it stutters, I lay off the gas a little bit, it finds the gear and then I continue accelerating. This has seemed to get worse, because it used to only do it occasionally but now it is doing it more frequently. My Mechanic says that it is not a cable? but may be related to electronics..? He doesn't have the software to pull the codes or something. He is a really honest guy and I have been going to him for quite some time, but his shop is small. Has anyone had this problem, know what it leads to, and how concerned should I be? Also, if I should get it fixed ASAP, ballpark on how much it would cost?
