"D" or " N " at traffic lights, or stucked ... Posted by Serge [Email] (#1363) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Serge) on Wed, 3 Jul 2002 04:30:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
in traffic jam ? I share this question with SaabKen, since we have two versions of what to do but we also have both the desire to spare our auto tran ( and our wallets ). SaabKen has received the "D" advice ... and I have received the "N" advice.
Both we want to save the tran, the engine and we don't wanna see the temp idle goin' up up up.
Second question, just for me, this time. I am leaving for holidays in high mountains. And I have never used the 3-2-1 positions on the auto tran. So the question is : how do I use correctly these ones to avoid any risk to mistreat the tran ?
Do I have to select one speed on the tran when car is stopped, or when the car is in motion may change from to 3, then to 2 and finally to 1
without making the car stop ?
The car is a 92 9000 Cde, 2.3l, injection ( non turbo ).
