A number of CS models came with 16" wheels, including the Aero, and Saab sold them in a few different styles. The tyre size fitted to these was 205/55/16". You could fit 225/45/16" if you were really keen.
As for the ECU. I really like my Maptun upgrade, which cost around £380 (US$570), including shipping from Sweden to the UK. I bought a spare ECU and sent it rather than have my car off the road. However, this led to a little confusion and Maptun had to send me another ECU. If you do this, I recommend you tell them the part number and serial number of the ECU in your car (serial number only relevant for cars with VSS, I think, which I don't believe was available in '94?)
Maptun really seem to know their way around the Trionic stuff. I suspect someone there has worked for Saab at some point or they have an inside contact.
