Hi,
Didn't do it myself because had no info at that time. A couple of days ago though I received my copy of Chilton's import ca repair manual '93 - '97. I ordered it because someone on the board said it is the only source that covers the V6.
It has a good description and drawings on what you're trying to do. It is not that easy and requires careful tuning. Also, don't turn the crankshaft more than 60 degrees from TDC when the belt is off!!!!
Apart from that V6 onfo even Haynes is better and much more extensive, but Chilton's is worth having for the drawings and exploded views alone
You can either buy a copy if you're in the US, or order via Amazon. I paid about $25 - see link below. Alternatively, I could see if I could make a scan of the pages concerned and Email you.
Let me know
Cheers,
Jan Geert
P.S. did you replace the tensioner assembly already and how long ago? If it is still original, prepare to change it too!!
