My 93 9000CSE 5-speed with 145K seems to have gone into limp home mode (the pedal requires a lot of pressure to activate). This occurred yesterday at start up as I was backing out of a parking space. Is it possible to go into limp home mode without any idiot lights coming on? Cruise Control and A/C functions normally, and the car seems to have plenty of power (boost gets just into the red zone as normal), it’s just that the pedal requires a lot of pressure, although sometimes the pedal feels like it’s not in limp home mode. The car also seems to run fine. Any ideas?
