Hi all. Following a 200-mile trip in very wet weather the previous day, I tried to start the car the next morning. The car started in limp home mode and the TCS light stayed on. I took the car to the dealer, he changed the safety valve on the false bulkhead, reset the code whch was E7590 permanent (safety system activated) and everything was fine. The next time I tried to start the car, same thing again. TCS stays on, limp home mode activated. Sometimes it doesn't happen at the next restart, not even at the second. It looks to me that it happens when the car stands for a while (like 5 mins). It only happens when you start the car, never while driving, no matter how long I drive for (I suspect that whatever happened happened during my trip and only manifested itself at the next restart). Today I discovered that the red/white one way valve was faulty and replaced it. I drove home, left the car for half an hour, then drove somewhere else. Everything fine. As soon as I switched the engine off, I tried to restart it. BAM! TCS light on again, limp home mode! As you can understand, I can't visit the dealer everyday to reset the ECU and it's getting very annoying, since I am currenlty abroad on holiday. The dealer said he cannot diagnose further because since the car is pre-94 he needs an older scanner, which he has ordered from Sweden and will take 15 days to get here.He said most (if not all) Saabs here don't have TCS, so there was no need for the scanner until now.

Has anyone had a similar experience or can help in any way?

Thanks in advance

Harry
