Zip, I know it is hard to believe, but yes. OEM Michelin Pilots lasted 80k miles. Yes they were worn to the bars, and if it was winter, I would not have gone that long, but they did last. In fact, the dealer said those tires should be in the Michelin hall of fame! Yet , the long life of each set of my Aero tires has continued. I drive a lot of straight high speed, always rotate (every 5-6 k), and check pressure regularly. I got my 4th set of tires (2nd set of Pilot Sports) at 240k. These were very expensive though, dealer cited the Firestone (aka Deathstone!) debacle, as the cause. Michelin seems to be taking advantage of it's untarnished name (at our expense, this purchase to the tune of 240 per wheel!!) My 3rd set (same Pilot Sports , at 164k) cost me 165 per! That was a great deal.
Though expensive, I stick with the Michelins (original size as well 205/55z16) , because I get such great life from them. - Regards- Tom S
