I've upgraded my 1994 Aero with the JT exhaust but I've not modified the intake system at all. The exhaust system has been on for a little over a month. I've not noticed any difference in performance. My car has always had the boost rise to full boost (mid-red on my gauge, 18-19psi on external gauge) around 1900rpm. I had done some 1 gear acceleration timings (eliminate variance for shifting) before and after the mod and see no difference in times. I upgraded the exhaust because I plan on upgrading the ECU.
Anyways, to your observation on mpg. I really haven't noticed a difference there either. I normally fillup after 350 miles with around town driving. That's usually about 15.5 gallons It's still the same. On a recent road trip I felt I was getting the same mpg on the highway as on past trips. I normally average about 30mpg at 75-80mph.
