by following Ari's advice last spring. I resoldered the joints he mentioned (under a magnifying glass I could see hairline cracks) and it's worked great for months. This, of course, after I tried a used turn signal stalk assy because I WAS SURE it had to be the culprit.

Sunvisor: cheapest replacements I've found are at English/Swedish parts in Atlanta -- don't have the 800 number handy, but the visor was $35 used.
A recurring problem, unfortunately.
