Biff, if you find a lack of TCS control after a problem like that, then there is still a TCS fault code in the computer even though it doesn't show on the dash. Yeah the car still runs, but TCS won't kick in and you may or may not be missing out on some performance from your car. I have a similar problem with my car and can't reset the fault code until I buy a new ETS ECU ($975 OEM). I have found a lack of performance and while I haven't been breaking hard, I haven't had the ABS kick in. My guess is the ABS is unaffected. To get the problem fixed, see if there is an indie in your area and tell him you just need the fault codes reset. They will probably do it for cheap, some people say as little as $20. Good luck!
