or, more precisely, it's an "ordinary" glycol based DOT 4 brake fluid, just like Castrol LMA. And it's fine to use. It's not really called "synthetic" if you carefully read the label with a lawyer's eyes. It's got the "SynPower" label because that's Ashland's brand for their "better stuff" chemicals and lubricants. I corresponded with one of their chemists when it first came out. It has the advantage (over Castrol) of being on more shelves, and is *sometimes* less expensive than the Castrol. Quality wise, IMO, it's no better, no worse.
