If the iming chain is jammed and so are the pistons and valves, it is possible that the valves didn't collide with the pistons, in which case all you need is to replace the guides.
In the remote possibility that this is the case, I'd still pull the engine to make absolutely sure. It is extremely difficult to remove the timing chain cover and fit it back in in-car. The cover is sandwiched between the head and the oil pan. it would be easier If you remove the front exhaust pipe and the oil pan also.
