I had installed a sub in my previous Saab, and had thought, hey there's remote power to my antenna, I might as well use that. After cutting and splicing wires, I had No radio reception for the rest of owning that car. This was the old clarion head unit, and I guess that you have the H-K unit in your car, but I wouldn't mess with the antenna again in any saab if you like to listen to the radio. I also am looking at the Basslink, what prices have you seen so far? I remember reading that they do have smart switch for the amp, but if you want to know for sure, go to a store; ask about it, and how it works. Good luck, and let me know if you decide to get one, I wanted to know what these sound like in a saab.
