Auto Transmission... fluid drained and filled

Well, with the help of a few friendly folks on this BB, I got my trans fluid drained once and refilled to spec along with a new filter.
Let me tell you all that if you have an auto that is misbehaving in the slightest (whining, shifting slowly, etc) try a fluid change and a new (or cleaned) filter, What a diference. The whining is gone, the shifts are crisp and precise, and I am a happy camper for the time being. Even my girlfriend noticed the immediate difference!! This improvement comes just in time as I am awaiting my FPT ECU and APC solonoid to make the transition from LPT - FPT.
I managed to drain a total of about 4.5 quarts from the transmission by jacking the car up on both sides (each side one at a time). I'll be draining and filling again in about a week so that my fluid is approx 75% new. Then again at my next oil change when I expect that the fluid will be just about right. I then plan to do a drain and refill about every two oil changes (every 10,000mi).
Thanks to all for your helpful info, particularly, KeithG.
