I will try testing for a spark but if there is a spark and there is fuel then it should be running. If the CPS is bad then there should be no spark (DI doesn't know when to fire a spark).
I've heard conflicting information on whether there would be fuel on the spark plugs if the CPS is bad on Trionic engine. Anybody know for sure?
I'm still looking for a way to definitively rule out the CPS besides watching the tach needle sitting still. Mine doesn't move. Is that definitive proof that I should spend the $154 on it. Will a TechII detect this fault? Would I get a Check Engine Light if this sensor failed?
