Zeke, glad to hear you like the Firestones. I will have to check them out. As I noted, these are my 2nd set of the PILOT Sport, and yes, you're right, they are Y rated. Logon to Michelin.com, plug in '95 9000 Aero, request ultra high performance, Summer driving, and the tire they recommend is the tire I have - in size 205/55/ZR16 - which is OEM size. The tread is a unidirectional <<<<<<<<<< , which although not advertised for anything but "summer" driving, also works quite well in New England winters, as long as you are not trying to beat the plows through 1 ft of snow. -and as far as tires lasting beyond 30k miles, it depends on how u drive. As I noted, this is my 4th set, of Pilots(2nd set of sports), and I put on this 4th set at 242k miles.
I do drive them to the wear bars, unless it is midwinter. Most miles were on the first set, 84k! with the original tires, which were pilots, but not sports. The tire dealer flipped out! The last set of these(first set of Sports)lasted 77k miles. Regards- Tom S
