If you want to spin the wheels, just go with the switch; if your objective is to avoid LHMs, you have to replace the ETB and the other stuff.
Most bodies you will find in the junkyard will be non-ETB; TCS AFAIK only came on 200hp+ versions. Get yourself the right one. Saab lists about 10 different PNs for this part in 90 -93.
I used the TCS equipped car for years and drove it hard. Even so I only managed a couple of times to have the system interfere (orange light in pictogram comes on), on wet roads and snow. Never even came close under dry conditions. Thus I can't see big increases in power and handling when disabled.
