They did a good job of hiding the thermostat but it is not that hard to replace. Quasi's instuctions pretty well cover it, although it is not nessesary to remove the throttlebody, intake hose-tube, or AIC valve. Why they attached a bracket over the top of the thermostat housing is a real ??? When I tried pushing this bracket out of the way it bent, ok, it was out of the way. During reassembly I made sure the bracket was straightened so there was no stress on it when it was bolted back down. When ever I replace a thermostat I remember a old trick of epoxying the bleed hole shut to get a lot faster warmup. Just wonder how well and when those dangly things plug the hole. Most thermostats are not air tight so why is a vent needed when it plugs the hole when the engine is running? Or is this vent only needed after a hot shutdown to pass any steam out of the head.
