Since ceramic does offer a lot of friction it means that one side of the clutch (ceramic) won't slip and therefore will not offer the smooth release that organic material does. With one side being organic (or kevlar?) I can still get off relatively smoothly (half as smooth with be about right). Nothing like organic/organic (O.E.M) clutch though.
It is relatively easy to work around it.
Mine was a prototype and they have made a few hundred more clutches since and for much more powerful cars I am told. They were telling me that the product improved and if I was to be working on the clutch again, they would upgrade it...I think it's just fine and will not bother with upgrading. It still is nice to be offered though.
Cheers
