Well this has been a frustrating weekend. I was doing some car maintenance and pulled the radio out to clean the dash.

1993 Saab 9000 CDE.

I thought I knew the code (it's on the radio!) and entered in the wrong code. Fat fingers, I guess.
I pressed some buttons for awhile and it came back. (I don't remember which ones, as I was pressing all of them!) I then entered the wrong code again and now I cannot get it back to the code message.

I've looked through every search engine and have tried every suggestion, and the thing is still locked up.

1. I've tried holding every button for 30 seconds, and nothing happens.
2. I've tried holding buttons together for 30 seconds, and nothing happens.
3. I've tried leaving the ignition on and radio on for over an hour. The only thing this accomplished was making sure no mice were in the car.
4. i've tried pulling the radio out of the car for a day to see if it would forget it was locked up.

I think the worst part is having to sit in the car pressing buttons while this thing is beeping away!

I'm about ready to yank the entire thing and put in something else, but money is tight and the unit worked fine before.

I have looked through the owners manual, but it says that there is another book for the radio which I don't have. Anyone know for a fact on how to get this thing out of lock mode?
