Press and hold the "R" button for about four seconds, and the display will reset and remain blank for a moment until enough miles are accrued for the EDU to calculate an average. If you do it on the highway while crusing at 70mph it will probably settle down around 26-30 mpg depending on whether your altitude is increasing or decreasing during the trip.

Just be prepared for dissapointment if you reset it in city traffic, you'll end up with an average of 16-18mpg. This wouldn't be innacurate, it would be correct. Unless, of course, you shift as directed by the "shift light" and never use the turbo.
