Today I adjusted slack in the kickdown cable since my shifts used to come too early. Now I might have tightened the cable just a little too much but certainly like to hear your more experienced opinion.
In general, shifting up is now delayed whereby
1st to 2nd comes about 30 km/h
2nd to 3rd comes about 50 km/h
3rd to 4th comes about 72 kn/h or about 2500 rpm
This is with a light throttle, if I push it it'll go much higher.
Shifting down is now happening early whereby
4th to 3rd happen at about 60 km/h
The rest I really didn't pay much attention.
What do you guys think, did I tighten that cable too much or what ?
Overall, I feel the transmission is put under more stress then it was when the shifts down were delayed further (i.e 4th to 3rd @ 55 km/h)
