I recommend that you buy a rebuilt unit - try some of the vendors that advertise at the bottom of this page. I've picked up -005 AMMs from Sobstory for about $140 (after core charge).

Two things to note - there are different part number AMMs, and although they might look the same, they are NOT interchangeable. So when looking at AMMs, make sure the one you get has the same dash number (last 3 digits). These AMMs vary by year.

Second - I don't recommend used AMMs. You are replacing the AMM because it isn't working. The root cause of AMMs dying tends to be corrosion on circuit boards - there are other faults, but that's the big one. So a used AMM may be just as bad, or possibly worse, than the one you're replacing it with. So you might find an AMM cheaper than a rebuilt, but you're running the risk of throwing your money away on another bad part.

I only recommend used parts when those parts tend to be very reliable. AMMs aren't one those.
