Dave- I have a 1995 Aero 5 spd, currently at 279 k miles. I just replaced my rear pads and rotors, because one of the pads had failed completely, and ruined the rotor. I purchased the zimmerman cross drilled rotors and pbr deluxe pads. They replaced easily (using Bill Jones site instructions) , and seem to provide the same response as the brembo cadium plated, cross-drilled rotors I had for 100k. The KVR carbon fiber pads (other than the failed pad) still had at least 1/3 left on them. Although I do lot of highway driving , that is good life from pads. Front ones are still in, will probably replace (pads only) in a few months. There are different schools on the cross drilled- I have not had a problem with them. The brembos are very expensive compared to the zimmermans, and frankly, comparing the 2, they seem very similar(zimmerman have made in germany stamped on them). The pbr deluxe pads also seem aok, and certainly are less money than the KVR carbon fiber ones! But time will tell on durability/longevity. I got them from europarts, and they also vend them on ebay
regards, and good luck
