The easiest thing to check would be tires. Either rotate the tires or, if you have another set available, switch them and see if it goes away. Check also if the noise changes as the pavement changes, say from asphalt to concrete. Also, find a deserted road, drive 35 mph while weaving from side to side and see if it gets louder with weight on one side. This would implicate a wheel bearing. Does it occur in all gears? Louder with application of power? If you have a road that goes from level to a steep hill, you can maintain a constant speed and see if it gets louder with more power. This would implicate the transmission.
