I really hated to sell it because I did put a lot of time and money into it. I sold it to my best friend, who lives down the street from me - it didn't sell via the classifieds. I can't tell you how many people called about that car, said they would come to view it, then wouldn't show. Only one person made the effort to come and see it and made an offer. When I told my friend that someone had made me an offer, he said he wouldn't mind having it. I was offered $4500 for it, but my original asking price was $7k - it sat around for 3 months with no one even willing to look at it for that price. Well, to make a long story short, I decided that if I was going to sell it so cheap, I wasn't going to give it to a stranger and decided to sell it to my best friend. He loves the car and I still get to do oil changes on it! I still think the CC body is a more attractive sculpture than the CS, too, but the CS is lighter and more rigid in the rear. My next project is to find a low mileage B234 motor - I have John Rumrill
keeping an eye out - and transplant it into a C5 Corvette. The Corvette's rear transaxle should be more than capable of handling a 400 hp MapTuned B234, I would think, eh?
