Johnathan, if this is your first experience with TCS malfunction, Limp Home Mode, consider yourself lucky. I too have a 1995 Aero, 5 spd, which now has 281k miles on it. Over the years, I have had several TCS problems, and the posts on this site will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the problem and the many different diagnostic suggestions/solutions, from the low cost to the exhorbitant. I can tell you that SAAB recommends replacement(preventative, not reactive) of that electrically controlled safety valve, as well as the plastic check valve it hoses to, located on the passenger side (US) wall of the engine compartment. If yours is original, it certainly should be replaced. IT costs 75-85$ for the safety valve, and 10-15$ for the ckeck valve. Also, the suggestion to replace the hoses is a good one. Take care or your Aero, and it should last for a long time. I am going for 400K!
good luck- Tom S
