Do you have voltmeter or better a test light?

What is voltage by hand meter of battery when starting? Lower than 10V? Bad Battery. If batt is 13.8 charging eng. running, 12.8 eng off & nothing else on, stays above 10V at batt eng off but running heater blower fan motor and bright lights for 4-5 minutes batt is good.

Test light rigged is better for this. With the 94 (I have 2 93's one air bag) do you have the pass side air bag? Do you have the glove box fuse and relay panel in there somewhere?


With key off there should be battery voltage on the Rt side of the front pan of the relay shelf. This is behind the fuses, pull out the assembly and access the relays.

Battery is fed into this panel on a 10mm Gray wire from the battery side of a buss bar 2 bolt link under the hood. Hot from battery goes to starter on biggest wire and to this bar connector on a smaller aux systems feed wire. Check this connection.

Reference test light to nearest frame ground.
Put test light on this bar. How much dimming when starting? Place on hot bar on fuse/relay panel discussed earlier. Dim any at start?

Light is better than a meter at this point as you are looking for quick test. If using meter what does it drop to during start at these points.
