Hey, thanks for the ideas! I'll look into that stuff, definitely could be one of those items.
Re the software, I'll tell you what I did but you're not gonna like *how* I did it!
Couldn't find the info on how to interface to the Trionic box with a computer, so I did it the old-fashioned way: replaced the EPROMs! Couple problems with this approach: they're actually flash ROM's of a hard-to-find sort, and they're surface-mount components. NOT FUN removing them, installing sockets, and so on.
Other than that, I didn't disassemble the code or anything, just wrote a VB app that allows me to scan thru the data looking for parameter maps and mess with them. Then used trial-and-error until I found the boost map and increased it! Got kinda cut short when I reached the point where the clutch wouldn't hold any more. ;^)
