I assume the code was 429B0>>>>>>>>> Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Sat, 9 Aug 2003 10:18:18 In Reply to: ISAT codes, Dan Yasenko, Sat, 9 Aug 2003 08:34:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Incorrect version coding (car starts but runs in basic boost only).
I have seen that code coming up several times but without the car having any problems. I usually call those codes "ghost codes" because they don't mean anything.
In your case though the code may be the true code since you DO have boost problems.
The fault code refers to a three pin contact in the near vincinity of the DI/APC box. Two of the three pins (2 and 3) should have a jumper wire IF the car is equipped with traction control (TCS). If not, none of the three pins should be connected.
Check so that the jumper wire is there (TCS equipped) or not there for non TCS car.
It might very well be something inside the DI/APC box too that have thrown the code and brought the car down to base boost.
