Hey i am interested in turbocharing a 1990 2.0 n/a 9000s. I need advice on this mainly because i am worried about the high (10.1) compression in this engine. My plan was to simply leave the APC system out of the mix and simply use a low baseline boost set by the wastegate (maybe 6 lbs or so). I want to know what people think about the feasiblity of this arrangment, i think a little boost in a high compression engine would be a blast, although i am understandably worried about connecting rods, valves, headgasket, you know, the engine in general. I also would like do know if anyone on the board used the n/a intake manifold with a turbo because ive seen it done and am curious as to its challenges. Alot of people seem to wince at this idea and instead seem to say just get a turbo motor but i dont think the car is truly worth the time to find, purchase, and install a turbo motor. Plus, theres always more of a challenge here. Well, any advice would be great. Thanks!
